Olive Frances Grove 1840 - 1912

We can not confirm at this time that Olive Frances Grove was William's cousin since we know very little about John James Grove. Franny's father Thomas Grove may have been a brother to John, but that information is not available as yet. We've just been able to confirm Thomas Grove had a brother named John James, although we have not proven whether that John James is the father of William Grove (Olive's first husband).
The ages on ship passenger lists seem to be questionable for adults; however on the 21 October 1859 a few months after they married she was listed as 33 years of age bringing her birthyear to around 1826. Unfortunately, the same listing shows James Grove travelling with them as 29 years of age despite the fact that he should have been about 37 and William was listed as 36 and he should have been 39.
The Birth, Marriage, Death Index lists a birth in 1840, Tenbury for Frances Olive Grove and a death at the age of 72 for Frances O. Wheeler in 1912. This means that Olive was 19 years old when she married William who would have been 40.
Olive is listed in the 1841 Census:
Mary Grove (about 1811)
Thomas Grove (about 1811)
Frances Grove (about 1840)
William and Olive married on 2 Jul 1859.
Olive returned to England following William's death taking three of their
five children. Their son Frederick William, and daughter Elizabeth Penelope
(Lily) were left behind in Canada with their Aunts. (Arthur, Mary Francis, and
William Henry returned to England).
Olive remarried after William's death to George E. Wheeler in England.
1881 Census lists George's wife as 'Thomas O.' Female, with the age of 41, born in Tenbury. Obviously a scribal error as evidenced by the first two children listed on the census.
